The P2112 code means the PCM has determined that the throttle plate is stuck in the closed position. In electronic throttle control systems, the throttle plate must open to allow air into the engine for acceleration. When it's stuck closed, the engine receives minimal air and cannot produce enough power to move the vehicle.

With a stuck-closed throttle, your vehicle will either idle very roughly, stall completely, or refuse to accelerate beyond a bare crawl. Unlike P2111 (stuck open), this code doesn't create a runaway engine risk, but it effectively makes the vehicle undrivable because the engine cannot produce power.

The most common cause is heavy carbon buildup that physically prevents the throttle plate from opening. Try having the throttle body removed and cleaned as a first step — this is a relatively inexpensive fix that resolves many cases.
